When a student has a coursework submission enquiry
What should you be aware of?
Coursework can comprise of a range of assessments such as essays, group work, presentations, in-class tests, online submissions (for example via Turnitin or electronic Dropbox) and proposals. Students who may struggle with submitting assessments can gain further support.

What should you do?
Please ask students to check their module handbooks, and with their Module Leaders, for dates, times, and formats (for example USB, bound hardback, spiral bound) to submit assessments.
Electronic submissions:
Students submit electronic submissions via Turnitin in myUniHub. If students experience any IT problems (e.g. uploading files, formatting files) please ask them to contact the IT Helpdesk (First Floor, Sheppard Library, Monday to Friday, 11am-6:30pm).

Hard copy submissions:
Students can submit hard copy coursework at the UniHelp Desk on the ground floor of the Sheppard Library, with the exception of coursework which is in a format that requires alternative arrangements, e.g. Artwork.

Hard copy submissions can also be submitted in class if arranged locally.
If a student has problems submitting work:
— electronic submissions: please refer students to Module Leaders (for submission links), UniHelp and IT Helpdesk.
— problem with submitting work on time: please ask student to complete an Extenuating Circumstances form via myUniHub. Assessment also run drop-in sessions, between Monday to Friday 11am-1pm, please check with UniHelp as this may be subject to change. http://unihub.mdx.ac.uk/study/assessment-and-regulations
— students have submitted work, however they feel the quality of their work has been affected by extenuating circumstances. Please ask the student to complete an Extenuating Circumstances Form at: http://unihub.mdx.ac.uk/study/assessment-and-regulations/extenuating-circumstances
— academic issues - please refer students to Progression and Support Team and Learning Enhancement Team.

What happens next?
Students can view their grades and progression in myUniHub, My Study, My Progress and Achievement, My Grades and Progression.
If a student has a financial hold/debt they will not be able to see their grades.
A student who has any problems viewing their grades and progression can contact UniHelp.
