Each module also has a side space that includes technical circulation and support areas that are combined as needed. It can include premises for the temporary stowage of pathogenic and common waste, cleaning module, used material, toilets and staff changing rooms and areas for staff, with comfort premises such as waiting room, dining room and bedrooms.


Adaptability according to bio-environmental criteria The three typologies were studied and designed for their adaptation to the climate and comfort conditions required in the various bio-environmental zones of the country. The below strategies were considered. l Orientation. The location of the modules should preferably be with the major axis in an east-west direction, to be able to capture the northern sun in those areas where it is necessary or its corresponding protection in the hotter areas. l Natural light. Every room has the possibility of having windows to allow the entrance of solar light. movement, and windows were placed at ceiling level for the exit of hot air due to density differences. l Use of courtyards. Depending on the climate, the modules could be combined with intermediate courtyards that improve ventilation. They can also be arranged as semi-detached units in a more compact layout to reduce heat loss. l Avoidance of heat loss and gain with the design of the building envelope.
