How is the uncertainty about the direction of national health policy affecting your clients? There is definitely concern regarding how the uncer- tainty in the insurance markets and the announced end of cost-sharing reduction payments to insurers will affect providers. But on a day-to-day basis, hospitals are still focused on providing the best care possible to their communities.


You have a master’s degree in classics. How has that background influenced your legal career? I love that the rhetorical devices that made Roman oratory persuasive are still useful in making legal arguments today. I occasionally throw in a tricolon or synecdoche in oral argument. And knowing Latin definitely got me some interesting and unusual translating jobs in law school.
