What has been your most memorable case? One of my most mem- orable cases has to be the time I represented an international circus in a breach of contract claim with a horse act from the Czech Republic. In addition to interesting legal issues, most of my witnesses were on a traveling circus, which required me to follow the circus all over the country to investigate the issues and interview the witnesses.

How did you become general counsel for the Culmore Clinic? The Culmore Clinic is an interfaith, nonprofit health-care clinic that provides medical care to uninsured residents in one of Fairfax County’s poorest communities. Shortly after its founding in 2007, I was asked to provide pro-bono legal services to set up the clinic as a corporation and to apply for 501(c)(3) status. Since then, I have served the clinic’s board as its pro-bono general counsel. I am honored to be associated with a group that provides so much for our underserved community in Fairfax.
