Our guests are from all walks of life and from all over the UK and Ireland. We cannot promise that you will find your soul-mate, but in any group you are likely to meet interesting, happy people for stimulating dinner-time conversations.

What age groups do you have? We welcome everyone from the age of 25 and upwards, with most guests between 35 and 65 years old. When we tested separate departure dates for different ages, you told us it wasn’t as much fun, so all groups are mixed.

What is included in the price? All prices are in £ sterling and based on you having your own room. Most prices include return flights which may be a charter or scheduled service, usually departing from Gatwick. Flights from regional airports are widely available though sometimes these cost more than flights from London and we have to pass on the difference.

Please read the individual holiday description to see what is included for each one.

What happens on a typical day? That depends on the holiday you choose. The only fixed point of every day is dinner, when we come together to compare suntans and sightseeing anecdotes, to eat, drink and be merry around one big table. After dinner, you can paint the town red or relax in the bar with new friends. It’s up to you.

How do I get to the hotel? On a UK break, you get yourself there: ask us for directions and public transport options. For overseas holidays, that’s part of the Friendship Travel service: we meet you and take you straight to the hotel. We do the same thing at the end of the holiday.

What happens at mealtimes? You need never eat alone. Virtually all our holidays include dinner as well as breakfast. On hotel holidays, breakfast time is flexible, depending on the day’s activities. Lunch is usually not included, because people go their own way and do different things. We come together for dinner in the evening, whether the meal is included in the package or if we’re trying a local restaurant.

What sort of food is on offer? We usually offer a continental buffet breakfast each morning, and a set menu at dinner with 3 courses, water and half a bottle of decent wine per person. That’s on our half board holidays in Europe – but every break is different, from a weekend in the UK to our luxurious all-inclusives in the Caribbean, so please read the individual

holiday descriptions carefully. If you’re vegetarian, have any food allergies or requests please contact us well in advance so we can talk about your food needs.

Can I fly from my local airport? Yes. If there is a service, we can book it for you, subject to availability. For further information, see the individual holiday pages, the website to book online or call the Friendship office.

Flight-inclusive holidays using charter and scheduled flights are financially protected by our bonding with the Civil Aviation Authority, ATOL licence 6683. Please read our Terms & Conditions before you book.

If you want to book your own flights, you may do so, but we add a £30 administration fee and reserve the right to charge a supplement if your timings do not fit with our airport transfer service: please read our Terms & Conditions before you book.

Can I pay my balance in stages? If you want to pay off your balance in stages, you can pay a little each month, via our Manage My Booking section.

Can I book online? You can book online and make payments 24/7. We still welcome your calls during office hours, and a few destinations – like the Caribbean – still need to be booked over the phone. You can also use the Manage My Booking function, once booked, to pay your holiday balance.
