In Rhythm Kids, students explore rhythm by playing with music from around the world. As they drum, sing, and move to new rhythms, children naturally build musicality that helps them prepare for formal music lessons. Opportunities to solo, work in ensembles, and improvise support social and listening skills, self-expression, and self-confidence.

Join Alison in singing, dancing, playing drums, bells, shakers, and triangles as children learn from parents/ caregivers actively modelling enthusiastic participation. A community of families shares songs, instrument play, rhythm chants, and movement activities in a relaxed, non-performance- oriented setting.
Youth & Adult Jazz Combos
In small combos under the tutelage of a working professional, students develop individual styles while learning an essential repertoire. Learn the art of DJing through a blend of hands-on experience, lectures, and reading assignments. Burlington’s iconic DJ cRAIG mITCHELL, along with guest lecturers, explores the role of the DJ/selector while providing context for sampling, genres, mashups, and production techniques.
