Verdi Requiem

GIPPESWYk Singers, Phoenix Singers and Beccles Choral Society are delighted to announce they will be joining forces under the musical direction of their conductor Geoff Lavery to present: Verdi “Requiem” on Saturday 11th May at 7.30pm at Snape Maltings Concert Hall. Thundering drums and

heralding trumpets of the Lambethorchestra will have you tingling from head to toe as they join a magnificent massed chorus and 4 outstanding international soloists in filling the wonderful acoustic at Snape Maltings with glorious resonance. Verdi’s operatic skill shines forth in his Requiem creating an unforgettable choral masterpiece filled with great lyrical beauty and dramatic passion. This performance also includes “Fanfare for Verdi Brass” by contemporary composer Simon Milton. Geoff Lavery brings his vast

Local group RoughCast Theatre Company bring the old favourite Hobson’s Choice for 2 nights to the Fisher Theatre on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th. And on the 14th & 16th March come and support the Fisher Theatre Youth Group perform their entry to the National Theatre Youth Connections Festival. Its called ‘Terra/Earth’ and it tells the tale of disagreement, prejudice and an amazing reconciliation. The piece is mainly movement with text and promises to be very powerful.
