"...Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. Who art thou, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, 'Grace, grace unto it.' ...For who hath despised the day of small things?"

Dear WME Partners and Supporters,

LIFE FOR A CHILD GROWING UP IN IMPOVERISHED AREAS OF KENYA IS INCREDIBLY HARD. I can personally testify that pictures you have seen on television or the internet fall sadly short of conveying the harsh reality of what these children face daily. Many have nothing more than the clothes on their backs! By the same token, even in the midst of their suffering, it is amazing how little it takes to put a giant smile on those sweet faces or to plant the seed of hope in their lives.

Over the years, we at WME have heard people sincerely ask, “CAN MY GIFT MAKE A REAL DIFFERENCE?” Perhaps as you sponsor a single child or you give toward a project, you have thought the same thing. Praise God, I can confidently say the answer is a resounding YES!!!

A photo of children who have been touched by the crusades. Like those attending the school, they are truly the “least of these.”

As the scripture above reminds us, please don’t discount or write off the day of small things. Jesus told us that faith like a mustard seed can move mountains and accomplish the impossible (Matt. 17:20). Always remember, we serve a miracle-working God who is well able to take what we bring before Him in faith and multiply it for His Kingdom.

RIGHT NOW, we have the opportunity to plant seeds that can help transform the future for some precious children in Kenya. Over the past five years, a group of godly men and women have conducted children’s crusades out of several Kenyan churches located in different villages. The poor children who attend these crusades receive a good meal, enjoy crafts and games, learn worship songs, and hear Gospel stories. In other words, they experience Christ’s love first-hand. These crusades draw from 45 to 350 children, and every child who attends leaves with something to take home that will remind them of Christ’s love. Right now, you and I have the chance to make it possible for dozens of children who know nothing of Jesus to hear the Gospel and receive hope this summer.

The modest classrooms at TGA offer extremely poor children a chance to survive the poverty they live in now and, thanks to education, provide an escape from it in the future.

In addition, there is a school called Triumphant Grace Academy located in Manyatta. This is an area where about 95% of the population lives in abject poverty and hunger is a constant companion. Understandably, the families who live here can’t afford to pay for public school. Previously, the only option was a Muslim school. Now TGA and its teachers are making a strategic impact on 85 children and the surrounding community for Christ! For many of

these children, Triumphant Grace Academy is their only source of food. And feeding these children’s bodies is vitally important. But thankfully we are also feeding their minds and souls.
