o psin I edd Ms – Colossians 3:12-14

“Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; forbearing one another… And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.”

“Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire…” – Jude 1:21-23

Dear WME Partners and Supporters,

DEALING WITH THE UNEXPECTED... Your life is on track, and then without warning, something unexpected happens to cause a bump in the road. It could be something as minor as a flat tire or dead battery, or it could be a major life event like a heart attack or the loss of a loved one. Suddenly your time, resources, and energy are focused on addressing something you didn’t or couldn’t foresee. Some individuals are able to set aside funds beforehand so they are prepared to face the unexpected head on. They have a reserve for pressing needs that fall outside their usual budget.

As you would expect, World Missionary Evangelism budgets for regular expenses such as taking care of children, supporting Native Missionaries, and purchasing supplies for our feeding programs. But what about the unexpected? What happens when a sponsored child has a health emergency, or a hurricane damages a village church or Children’s Home? When people’s lives are overturned due to a natural disaster or due to war? When a Native Missionary identifies poor families that are starving or a child on the street suffering from severe neglect?

WME often deals with unexpected needs in the varied areas where we work. We must begin responding to urgent needs immediately, before we even have the opportunity to put together a newsletter, email, or the like to tell people about what is happening and how they can help. AND THAT IS WHEN WE MUST FALL BACK ON OUR RESERVES. These

general funds give WME the ability to respond quickly and efficiently to crucial needs that arise throughout the year.

WME relies on gifts from supporters and partners who love God deeply and want to spread the Good News that has changed their own lives. We work together for the Kingdom to extend God’s mercy through Christian compassion to the people and places where the needs are great and help is needed most. So it’s not surprising that WME calls this reserve fund “WHERE NEEDED MOST.” And that is exactly where it is used.
