: No, a home inspection is not required, but I always recommend that my buyers have a professional home inspection; it’s worth every penny! A home inspector will examine the home from roof to founda- tion, and all the mechanical systems inside. The inspector will give you a detailed report indicating any conditions that need immediate attention or repair, and items that aren’t problematic now but should be budgeted for in the future. Any conditions that need immediate attention or repair can often be negotiated with the seller, and as your Buyer Agent, I will help you navigate those negotiations.

It is simply a snapshot in time of the current condition of the property, and it is up to the buyer to determine if they are comfortable with the current condition of the house.
