Summary


Nick trained as a Building Surveyor at South Bank University in London where he graduated in 1996. In 1999 Nick was elected as Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. In 2006, he became an accredited Expert Witness under the Cardiff University Expert Witness Accreditation Scheme.

Engineer. Nick is a member of the Pyramus and Thisbe Club with expert knowledge of party wall legislation and procedure. He is also a member of the Dilapidations Association with expert knowledge of Landlord and Tenant issues. Nick also has gained Level 1 Working at Height and Rescue Plan training. Nick has experience of working in both the public and private sectors, undertaking all aspects of professional work including dilapidations (landlord and tenant), schedules of condition, planned maintenance surveys, building surveys, party wall and expert witness matters. He has also acted as designer, project manager and contract administrator on various new build,


refurbishment and conversion schemes to both


residential and commercial properties nationwide. Experience and Expertise Nick has work experience in both the public and private sectors, undertaking all types of professional and project work.


Nick has project managed a number of local authority and social housing schemes, including overseeing a Major Works Programme for Lewisham Homes worth £14 million per annum and for Notting Hill Housing worth £5 million per annum. Works included cyclical redecorations, re-roofing, window and kitchen and bathroom replacements, void refurbishments, and asbestos removal contracts. Nick has also overseen a number of decent homes, HHSRS and fire upgrades programmes for these organisations for which he acted as key customer contact. Nick recently received outstanding customer feedback from Notting Hill Housing for this work.


Nick has designed and managed the refurbishment and fire upgrades of two high rise blocks of flats for Golding Homes in Maidstone which included converting two large flat roofs to pitched roofs worth £3.5 million.


Works in the education sector have included school and university extensions, refurbishments, roof replacements, planned maintenance programmes and stock condition surveys. Nick project managed a new 100 birth dry cow building worth £1.5 million for the Centre for Dairy Research (CEDAR) at the University of Reading. Nick has been responsible for programming and implementation of planned maintenance of Eton College’s historic building stock.
