Bungay Camera Club
THE latest photographic com- petition was recently staged at Bungay Camera Club’s home venue at Broome Village Hall, near Bungay. Attendance was somewhat
lower than normal due in part to the holiday season kicking off. The judge for the competition which was titled ‘’In the gar- den’’ was Joan Jordan FRPS, who had several interesting things to say about the high qual- ity of all the competition entries. She was especially praising of one of our youngest members, Joshua Finch, who managed a very credible third place with his monochrome print “Dinner time”, a well executed macro close-up of a ripe dandelion seed head with the theme being that of time. The results were as follows: DPI (digital projected image) - 1st "A Monet scene in an Eng-
lish garden’’ by Jackie Moore; 2nd "Garden Toil” by David Penrose; 3rd "Walk this way’’ by Ray Mason. Colour Print Images - 1st “The
welcome visitor’’ by Peter Nixon; 2nd “Threelips’’ by David Penrose; 3rd “After the rain’’ by Sue Grief. Monochromatic (B/W) print
images - 1st “Who needs colour anyway” by Adrian Muttitt; 2nd “My Garden Montage’’ by Jack- ie Moore (no image submitted for report); 3rd “Dinner time’’ Josh Finch. The latest club outing was an
evening visit along the north side of river Waveney at Beccles at sunset with the production of some really good images from the special warm atmospheric evening light. The club is busy preparing for
its annual exhibition at Broome Village Hall on September 1st.
This exhibition is proving more popular every year and with the input of several new members, this year looks like being the most diverse and interesting so far.
All members of the public and
prospective photographers are invited to attend for a free sam- pler club night which is held at Broome village hall on alternate Wednesday evenings. Please view the website at www.bun-
gaycameraclub.co.uk for further information on the club and its programme of forthcoming events.
