Conventional Yard Waste Mulch is usually $25 per 3 cubic yard scoop—the special price March 19–April 6 is only $15 for a 3 cubic yard scoop! Act now to enhance your property and save big! The Orange County Waste Management Facility is located at 1514 Eubanks Road in Chapel Hill and hours of operation are Monday–Friday, 7am–4pm and Saturday, 8am–noon. For information, phone 919-968-2788. This mulch is made from clean yard waste brought to the landfill by res- idents, local government collection programs and contractors of Orange County. The yard waste is chipped and aged at least 90 days to allow the mulch to decompose slightly prior to sale. Landfill staff will load trucks and trailers only. Purchasers must cover their load with a tarp prior to departure. Orange County also sells Class “A” Compost, with two purchasing options: $30 per one cubic yard scoop (trucks and trailers only) or $5.50 per one cubic foot bag. This compost is produced by Brooks Contractors, a commercial composting firm located in Goldston, North Carolina. Stop at the Orange County Waste Management scalehouse first to pay for the product and to notify staff regarding your product choice. Orange County is not responsible for any damage due to loading or delivery. See ad on this page.
