Cockermouth WI continues to grow and flourish in the community. We are also pleased to confirm that Jo Crozier will be serving a further term as Branch President and will enthusiastic

lead our committee

and Cockermouth

members into another successful year of Fun, Friendship and Fundraising!

Last year was another busy year, particularly in the support of our nominated charities which included a presentation of £692.25p to Team Evie.

At our meetings, we have enjoyed a diverse and interesting array of subjects and speakers including Cumbria Blood Bikes, Cockermouth Museum Group, Speed Crafting, Pilates, and even Ghosts. A full programme is planned again for 2018.

Our ladies have a wide range of interests which they can share and explore in one of our off-shoot groups, where they meet regularly and include a book group, a food group, crafting, quilting and we host a walking netball group at the sports centre every Tuesday from 11.00am until 12 noon. We also have many opportunities to make new friends and socialise, from a casual coffee in town to trips to places such as Harrogate and Glasgow.

If this sounds like an organisation that you would like to know more about, we meet on the first Monday of every month in the Methodist Hall, Lorton Road at 7.15pm.
