ITALIAN COUNTRYSIDE • Sicily E Catania Area TC Farmhouse 4 (Milo)

Between the sea and the Etna, two rural houses among woods and vineyards, brooms and oleanders. A swimming pool on the beautiful coasts of Sicily and a kitchen offering the old Sicilian flavours. The farmhouse is only twenty minutes far from the beaches of Taormina as from Etna’s pike, covered with snow in winter and with his good ski tracks. Guests can choose between bed and breakfast and half pension (breakfast and dinner) fares, with the typical recipes from Sicilian cooking tradition; who wish to have lunch in the farmhouse will have the possibility to taste some rich snacks and cold dishes. Its position allows to explore the fascinating craters of Etna, being half an hour far from the cableway that offers to all the sporty people the possibility to get to the winter ski tracks. Besides, the proximity of the highway tollgate of Giarre (only 11 Km) enables to visit the beautiful beaches around Taormina, reachable in half an hour by car, and the ancient cities of Catania and Siracusa.

TC Farmhouse 5 (Caltagirone)

Set in a lush garden with olive and fruit trees, the farm is a renovated country side property located 7 km away from Caltagirone, town famous for its maiolica ceramics. It offers an outdoor pool, elegant rooms, and a restaurant. Rooms are en-suite and come with air conditioning. The private bathroom has a hairdryer. Breakfast includes Sicilian pastries. This farm house is the ideal place to spend a relaxing holiday, where you can enjoy long, tranquil walks, bike or horse riding through quiet and scenic pathways, with green olive groves, vineyards rich with grapes, peach and orange trees and all type of vegetables, whilst children can enjoy the property's playground. The San Pietro Natural Reserve is a 30-minute drive away.

TC Farmhouse 6 (Randazzo)

This holiday farm is located in the wide valley between Mount Etna and the Alcantara river, 4 km from Randazzo. Taormina is a 45-minute drive away. It has eight small apartaments obtained from the old rural properties, excellently refurbished, which date back to the fourteenth century and which can host both the individual guests and the couples, as well as large families and groups. The accommodations have every comfort and are provided with independent entrance, bathroom, heating system, TV and kitchenette; they are all surrounded by lush Mediterranean greenery. The restaurant of this holiday farm is the result of the faithful reconstruction of the ancient little church, in Gothic style, dating back to 1302, and offers traditional and typical food. The vineyards, the olive tree groves and the fruit trees in the surroundings enrich the green framework of the farm, which also offers its guests the possibility to taste its own cultivated and homemade products, along with cheeses and preserves paired with the homemade bread of Randazzo, baked in wood fired oven, and the famous wines Etna Rosso and Etna Bianco.
