The Parish Council is pleased to report that the cliff top path has now re‐opened. The Parish Council had been pressing Natural England’s Coastal Path department for an urgent resoluon and Natural England had been in discussions with landowners along the route, to move the path away from the cliff edge and to ensure its longevity and safety for users. The Parish Council would like to thank all pares involved for their hard work, in coming to this posive outcome and in parcular the land owners including Barker Mills Estate – in ensuring this valuable local resource has been maintained.

Milford Befrienders was established towards the end of 2016, with financial support from the Parish Council. This has been used to ensure that every befriender has had the appropriate security checks and to pay for the producon of markeng materials, to let residents know that the service is now up and running.

Milford Befrienders offers a regular friendly visit to anyone, who feels isolated or lonely within our community. By May 2017, ten successful partnerships between befrienders and befriendees had been created, with more to come. Both befrienders and befriendees really value the experience. As one of them said recently, 'We have a very close bond and never run out of things to talk about'.

Anyone who would like someone to visit them, or to become a befriender should contact Steve Anderton on 01590 637088 or befrienders@steveanderton.com.
