It is with sadness that we report the death of Cllr Michael Hallé. Although a Parish Councillor for a short me, Michael made a valued contribuon to the Council and he will be greatly missed. The Parish Council extends their sympathy to Michael’s family at this sad me.


Cllr Tony Coleman has decided to step down from the Parish Council aer six years of service. The Parish Council would like to thank Tony for his hard work and input to the parish over this me and wish him well in his future endeavours.


As a result of these events, the Parish Council has two vacancies for the role of Councillor. If you would like to be considered for this voluntary role, please send a brief résumé and covering leer to the Parish Office before the closing date of 12th June. Interviews will be held on 19th June.

L P R: L N  B L As reported in the previous edion, a public meeng was held on 12th April with Pennyfarthing Homes ‐ the developer of “Site F” in the new Local Plan Review (the land north of Manor Road and between Barnes Lane and Lymington Road). Approximately 30 local residents were in aendance to hear Pennyfarthing present their outline plans for 170 homes, with open space earmarked for addional land to the north of the site. The District Council are scheduled to announce the next consultaon stage of the Local Plan Review in July.


A P M The Parish Council’s Annual Parish meeng was held on 8th May and was aended by 18 members of the public. Cllr Bishop gave an outline of the Parish Council’s key achievements over the past year, including extensive work to the footpath network in the Pleasure Grounds, improvement to Carrington Lane Recreaon Ground, improvements to the pitches at Barnes Lane Recreaon Ground and a refurbishment programme for memorial benches amongst many others.
