Family Law, Dependency, & Probate C. Kim Banister, Esq. is a


private attorney, with a practice center- ing on family law, domestic violence, dependency and probate. Ms. Banister has worked primarily in the Volusia/ Flagler area for the past eleven years and in Duval and Clay Counties prior to that. She is the former managing attorney for the family law division of Community Legal Services of Mid- Florida, Inc. There she managed seven attorneys and support staff in twelve counties across Central Florida.


Ms. Banister received her law


degree from the University of Nebraska -Lincoln. She also holds a Masters of Arts in Anthropology/Archaeology and a minor in Museum Curation and Management from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Bachelors of Arts in Anthropology with certification in Applied Archaeology from George Mason University, graduating with honors from both universities.


Ms. Banister is also actively


involved in a variety of community and professional organizations. She is a Board Member for the Volusia County Bar Association and is currently serving on the Board of Directors as Vice President for Precious Hearts Foundation and for the PACE Center for Girls. She also served on the steering committee for the formation of Sally’s Safe Haven Visitation Center in Flagler County. In the past she has served as the two term President, Vice President and Board Member for the Volusia Flagler Association for Women Lawyers and she has served on the State Board for the Florida Association for Women Lawyers. She is also a past volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America and served in leadership in the Girl Scouts of America for over seven years.
