About ILSA and the ILSA Quarterly

The International Law Students Association (ILSA) is a non-profit association of students and lawyers who are dedicated to the promotion of international law. ILSA provides students with opportunities to study, research, and network in the international legal arena. The organization’s activities include academic conferences, publications, the global coordination of student organizations, and the administration of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. ILSA seeks to encourage communication and cooperation among students and lawyers internationally; to contribute to legal education; to promote social responsibility in the field of law; to increase op- portunities for students to learn about other cultures and legal systems worldwide; and to publicize educational and career opportunities in international law. For more information regarding ILSA, please visit www.ilsa.org.

The ILSA Quarterly is an academic magazine that features articles written by students, scholars and practitioners concerning timely issues of international law and related topics, as well as information on ILSA projects, study abroad programs, LL.M. programs and career opportunities in the field of international law. It is published four times during the academic year.

For the fourth consecutive year, ILSA is proud to announce that ILSA Chapter Program Grants, an offering of financial and program support, will again be available to ILSA Chapters. For years, ILSA has helped students organize and finance international law conferences in cooperation with universities and other educational and profession- al organizations.

ILSA has expanded its assistance to Chapter members by providing up to $1,000 USD in finan- cial support to Chapter programs or events that promote the study and understanding of interna- tional law. ILSA hopes that schools will take ad- vantage of this opportunity. For more information, please visit: http://www.ilsa.org/conferences/ilsa- chapter-grants.

Wishing everyone a wonderful start to a new aca- demic year!
