Tax Season


Monday through Saturday 5:30 Get up, take a shower, grab a coke, feed the dogs, get dressed, run out the door. 6:30 Drive very carefully, there might be snow on the roads and it is dark. 7:00 Get to the office, look at all the work that needs to be done and get depressed. Turn on my computer and go to the kitchen to find something to eat. With a little luck there are cookies over from last night’s dinner. Otherwise, there’s always a granola bar.


7:15 Catch up on emails while waking up. 8:00 Get my rear in gear and get started on clients’ work. 11:00 Return client phone calls and emails. From now until lunch time get interrupted every 15 minutes or so by someone with a question.


11:30


I’m really disgusted now, ‘cause I haven’t accomplished very much yet. Go to the Cafeteria and grab lunch to eat at my desk.


12:15 Get back to work, answer a lot more questions. 3: 00 Check scheduling for tomorrow to be sure everyone has plenty of work. 3:30


Return client phone calls and emails. Intermittent chatting with other managers about lousy job someone is doing and praise the Lord for sending XX to work with us.


4:30 Wander to the kitchen to see what’s for dinner. 5:00 Wonder when the heck dinner is going to get here, ‘cause I’m frustrated and need to f my frustration. 5:30 Dinner is finally here, grab something and eat at my desk. Frantically try to finish the started at 7 am! 8:00


I can’t see straight, time to go home!


8:30 Home, pet the dogs, kiss the husband, and turn on the computer, check email, message boards. 9 – 9:30 Go to bed and be ready to go at it again!


Sunday


5:30 am Get up and go to the basement and scrapbook while doing laundry. Maybe groom the if it is time. 7:00 Wish Dick a good morning, chat for 5-10 minutes. Back to my scrapbooking. 4:00

8:00 Computer time 9:00


Share my latest scrapbook creation with Dick and then go to the grocery store to get so Cook a big meal with leftovers so Dick will have something to eat during the week. Bedtime, another work week begins.


Note: No days off in April, work 13 – 15 hour days. April 16th – go outside and get started on the gard is so nice to NOT sit at a desk all day and do something physical.
