February, 2012. The Center offers Initial, Recurrent and upgrade training for pilots and maintenance technicians who operate and support the Gulfstream G550 aircraft. It also provides differences training for Gulfstream GV series aircraft. The Center is equipped with a Gulfstream G450/ G550 interchangeable Level D qualified full flight simulator and other advanced training devices.


WEST STAR AVIATION APPOINTS DAN MCKILLIPS REGIONAL SALES MANAGER


West Star Aviation announces it has appointed Dan McKillips as regional sales manager. McKillips will be responsible for the Southeast region of the U.S., which includes Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi. With nearly 20 years in


the aviation industry, McKillips has developed his expertise through a variety of positions including A&P Technician, Senior Aircraft Technician and corporate director of maintenance. Before being named regional sales manager, McKillips previously held the positions of manager of Paint and Interior and Technical Sales Manager at West Star. “Dan’s solid background and diverse skills make him the ideal candidate for this position,” says Jim Swehla, Cofounder/Executive Vice President, West Star Aviation. “We are happy to have Dan as a continued part of our team, and he will be a great resource for our customers in the Southeast.” In his new position, McKillips will be responsible for sales

JET AVIATION SINGAPORE EXPANDS INTERIOR SERVICES CAPABILITIES THROUGH NEW INTERIOR SHOP AT SELETAR AERO- SPACE PARK


Jet Aviation Singapore has significantly increased the size of its Interior Shop at its new hangar facility to expand its interior services capabilities from minor interior repairs and touch ups to full interior aircraft refurbishment. The


new facility’s 420 square meter Interior Shop is outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment for upholstery, wood and veneer finishing and carpeting. Coupled with the new 60 square meter eco-friendly spray-painting and buffing shop, the new production environment is designed to support the highest quality and service standards for interior aircraft refurbishment. “We are very pleased to expand our service capabilities to meet interior refurbishment requirements in Asia,” says Gary Dolski, vice president and general manager of Jet Aviation Singapore. “There is growing appreciation for the value of business jets in the Asian economy, and demand for unique interiors is increasing. Our interior specialists combine superior craftsmanship with the finest hand-selected materials from around the world to custom tailor aircraft to the individual requirements of aircraft owners.” Jet Aviation has been operating in Asia since opening its maintenance and FBO facility in Singapore in 1995. In 2001, Jet Aviation established an office in Hong Kong to provide aircraft management and charter services, now managing a fleet of 30 aircraft. In 2008, it established Jet Aviation Hong Kong to provide scheduled and unscheduled line maintenance, inspections and defect rectifications as well as AOG support. Jet Aviation Singapore provides scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, aircraft repair, defect troubleshooting and rectifications and aircraft modifications. In addition, the company offers interior refurbishment, avionics modification and exterior painting services. Jet Aviation Singapore holds repair station approvals from various countries, including FAA #J8MY465N and EASA #145.0461. It is a Factory Authorized Service Center and Warranty Repair Facility for the Gulfstream series; an Authorized Service Center for the Bombardier Learjet, Challenger and Global aircraft models, as well as the Nextant 400XT aircraft. The company is also a Boeing BBJ line maintenance station. Located at Seletar Airport, the company also offers FBO services in Singapore at Seletar and Changi International airports.
