GOJO Industries Europe, the European arm of one of the largest suppliers of hand hygiene products in the world, and a major supplier to the NHS, has achieved the prestigious ISO 9001 management standard. This demonstrates its on-going commitment to delivering a first class service to its ever-growing customer base. The European head office, based in Milton Keynes, achieved the accreditation towards the end of last year.

ISO 9001 recognises companies that have developed their internal working processes to help deliver greater consistency and quality of service.

This accolade is a natural addition to ISO 14001, which GOJO Industries Europe achieved in 2012. This standard, linked to reducing resource usage, waste and costs, is an acknowledgement of the company’s commitment to sustainability.

Mike Sullivan, Managing Director of GOJO Industries Europe, said: “The achievement of ISO 9001 is a welcome recognition of our dedication to providing the highest possible levels of customer service to our clients. I’d like to thank all GOJO Industries Europe employees for helping to make this happen – it

was a real team effort.

“ISO 9001 is a natural progression from the attainment of ISO 14001 in 2012. GOJO Industries Europe helps its customers to achieve their own green aims through its products, by incorporating sustainable ingredients, recyclable packaging and energy saving elements, but it's also firmly committed to becoming a greener company itself. By the year 2015, GOJO has pledged to reduce: water usage by 30%, solid waste by 25% and greenhouse gases (GHG) by 5%.

The winning films from each category were screened at the British Film Institute in London last November, however, as no-one from the school could be present, Iain Stewart, Marketing Director from Delphis Eco, presented the prizes along with Leo Clarkson from Deep Sea World, South Queensferry.

Iain commented: “We have partnered Eco Schools for several years, and it’s no surprise that the sustainability question is understood and embraced by this age group. The aim of the film award is to highlight to school children and students, aged

4 to 25, that water is the world’s most precious resource. In the field of sustainable chemicals, schools and universities are leading by example and showing everyone that sustainable resourcing is the only way forward.”

Head Mistress, Irene Brennan, added: “We are delighted to have won such a fantastic prize. As an Eco School, we are always thinking of ways to look after our world and we hope that our animation will be a great reminder to others.”
