We offer a wide variety of postgraduate courses and our qualifications are designed to meet the needs of the workplace. 2. League table success


The University of Northampton has demonstrated considerable achievement in recent league tables. We are the highest climbing institution in both the 2014 Guardian League Table and the 2014 Complete University Guide. In 2012 we were confirmed as the Number One University in the UK for adding value to our students’ attainment, and we have consistently ranked highly for the employability of our graduates.


3. Employability


We make sure that our graduates are equipped with the knowledge and skills required for a successful career in their chosen field. Input is provided from researchers, current practitioners, professional bodies and industry to ensure that the curriculum and content are up-to-date and relevant. The University has a dedicated Employability and Careers Service which is always on hand to assist students in embarking on their chosen career after graduation.


4. Scholarships


The University of Northampton is very pleased to offer a generous scholarship to applicants from outside the European Union who have strong academic backgrounds. All full-time postgraduate courses taught on campus fall within the scheme, and applicants will be considered for a scholarship on the basis of academic merit. Successful students currently receive a reduction of up to 25 per cent on their tuition fees for the duration of their course.

Northampton has a central location in the UK, taking less than an hour to travel to London and Birmingham. We are served by five international airports and have excellent road and rail links to all parts of the UK and Europe.

We offer the perfect setting for you to achieve your full potential. Based on two large, green campuses linked by a free shuttle bus, we have a wide range of good quality, affordable, University- owned accommodation, excellent libraries and IT suites and extensive social facilities. Both campuses have banking, sport and shopping facilities, restaurants and Students’ Unions.


8. Support


Our dedicated and experienced international student support team offer a wide range of support for international students, from airport collection, orientation programmes, visa advice and renewals and social activities. We also provide free English Language support for students where English is not their first language. In addition, individual course teams and research degree supervisors offer in-depth support related to your particular area of study.


9. Investment


The University of Northampton is investing over £30 million in the development of a modern vibrant and exciting university, complete with state-of-the-art facilities, newly refurbished buildings, new halls of residence and innovative learning spaces. Among these new projects are a complete re-development of the library on Park Campus and a new 462-room hall of residence in the centre of Northampton.


10. Social enterprise


The University is committed to delivering a new student experience, underpinned by a culture of entrepreneurship, research and social enterprise by encouraging students to get involved in social enterprises at all levels.
