‘B&M’s best for

years’ In the one month it has already been open, Oz Iris has won many fans, not least Park World’s man on the ground Thomas Clarke: “The combination of an entirely unique layout with unusual elements and wonderful theming, typical of Parc Astérix, has lead to arguably the best B&M coaster for many years,” enthuses the photographer. “The ride’s well-paced layout gives just enough breathing space between elements and is packed full of intensity and surprises.” And he goes on: “While it's possible to see most of the track while queuing, an inline twist has been hidden behind the station building and comes out of the blue when riding. Incredibly this inverted coaster even offers two significant moments of airtime normally reserved for hyper coasters. The only negative aspect of Oz Iris is that is has been given exactly the same colour scheme as Montu at Busch Gardens Tampa.”
