Communities that Offer Assistance Five developers offer a range of accommodations that include luxury living as well as limited independent and assisted living. The estimated combined total within

these properties is 245 residences, not all of which are in age-qualifi ed communities.

The residences include homes, villas and apartments in a variety of settings, with several offering resort-style amenities such as gardens, pools and dining options. A village lifestyle, which can be

seen in Amesbury Abbey properties, offers proximity to activities in the local towns and in some cases, access to beaches, parks, spas and railway stations. These communities are variously

described as “a true village lifestyle” and “a luxurious enterprise with the senior citizen in mind.” They include homes for rent and for

sale. The Amesbury Abby Group has 33 apartments and houses exclusively for those ages 55+. Services for residents who are

not receiving personal care typically include grounds and property maintenance, laundry and use of on- site swimming pools, gardens and tennis courts. In some cases, these services are covered by quarterly service fees. However, most of the offerings do

not provide information about their fees online.
