Help wanted! A message from the assistant curator of the NRA Museum My name is Jim Hallam and I am Assistant Curator of the NRA Museum at Bisley. As part of our research, we would like to trace any existing rifles, which were presented as prizes at the 1907 Bisley Imperial Meeting by BSA. According to our records there were six such rifles but we do not have any data on who won them. We know of one – serial no. 16641 which was sold by Bonhams in December 2003. Whoever won that particular rifle did not have the silver plate on the butt completed, so it simply reads “Won by ....... “ We would be most grateful for any information on these and any other Bisley (or even Wimbledon) prize rifles - muzzle-loading, breech-loading or air-rifles.

Many thanks - Jim Hallam jimhallam@dsl.pipex.com 73
