ver the last few decades, Interventional Radiology (IR) as a field has, and continues


to, grow rapidly. Due to the constant innovation, Interventional Radiologists have the ability to both diagnose and treat a tremendous and ever-increasing variety of diseases. The field has the ability to

 Canada performed the fewest IR procedures per capita in 2005, while the US performed the most


decrease complication rates and lives lost, improve outcomes, decrease hospitals stays, improve patient satisfaction, and save healthcare dollars. In Canada, Interventional Radiologists


have long suspected that we were behind the curve when it came to taking advantage of the field. As a result, there
