cost savings

The outstanding cleaning performance delivered by Vileda Professional’s Swep Microfibre cleaning systems has been recognised by healthcare professionals for the past 10 years. The fact that it’s an essential part of the infection control procedures at over 150 hospitals in the UK is testament to that.

And now, with the launch of Swep Duo, hospital managers can have all the performance benefits of Swep microfibres combined with potentially massive cost savings.

The Swep Duo Micro Plus is a double-sided version of the highly successful Swep. The 50cm wide, 100% microfibre double-sided mop pad is unique – and brings with it a whole host of cost and performance benefits: • One step cleaning; no dust mopping or pre-vacuuming required

• Can be used with hypochlorite • A unique 1,000 wash guarantee

the continuous heating system is a radical departure from the norm as it maintains optimum water temperature within the machine to deliver dry unsaturated steam on demand.

The continuous heating system is highly efficient and thus the Apollo does not suffer any loss in steam pressure, maintaining 10 bar consistently throughout the cleaning operation.

An extremely versatile machine, the Apollo generates large volumes of steam in both dry and saturated modes (up to 48 kg per hour), where such may be advantageous for certain applications, and, thanks to a separate chemical tank, the steam jet may also benefit

warehouses, car parks, pathways and inside industrial units, the Truvox TruSweep 460 has an adjustable main brush that revolves in the opposite direction to that of travel. This mechanism therefore flips debris such as cigarette ends, pieces of Polystyrene, crisps and leaves into a 40 litre capacity dirt collector. With a 60 cm cleaning path, the TruSweep 460 can sweep up to 2,600 m2 per hour.

An adjustable revolving side brush can be positioned for up-to-the-edge sweeping and sweeps debris from the sides into the path of

the main brush. Unique anti-wrap technology prevents long thin materials like string getting wound on to the brush shaft.

Easy to manoeuvre and lift, the main casing is of resilient polypropylene. The TruSweep 460 has heavy-duty castors for ease of control, and a lightweight dirt collector that is easy and quick to empty. The handle can be positioned in two different configurations to suit the height of the operator, and can be folded down for compact storage when the sweeper is not in use.

Steve Barber, Vileda Professional’s Regional Marketing Manager, is confident that Swep duo is the most effective mopping system in the UK: “Swep Duo beats Kentucky and single- sided mopping systems on just about every count. Factor in lower investment because you don ‘t need as many mops; lower labour costs because cleaning is done quicker; lower laundry costs and lower water and chemical usage and we see massive potential cost savings. Over a three-year period we can potentially show how an average 30 ward hospital currently using traditional Kentucky mops can save around £400,000 and hospitals using single-sided flat mopping systems can save over £200,000.”
