Orders blow in for Demon Tornados

Exhibiting at Saltex for the second consecutive year, Demon

International’s display included the Tornado Mini-Bowser, a compact pressure washer that has an integral 150-litre water tank. The machine has a Honda petrol engine and is ideal for work in locations without a convenient mains water supply. MD Martyn Walke says that the machine has quickly proved popular since its launch at the Executive Hire Show in February. “HSS ordered 30 soon after the exhibition, and recently took 30 more for their fleet. They say that demand for the machines is very strong. We have also just taken an order from Selwood Group for two of our standard, larger Tornado pressure washers.”

Having been reduced in size and weight, the latest version of the Multiform 3000 from Red Rhino Crushers (UK) Ltd can now be carried and powered by a suitably sized small wheel or skid steer loader. It has a jaw aperture of 500mm x 250mm and hydraulic adjustment enables crushed material of 10-100mm to be produced. Red Rhino claims the machine can achieve an output in excess of 15 tonnes/hour, and it has been designed to crush a whole UK kerbstone in less than 40 seconds. The Multiform 3000 can also be supplied as a self- contained unit, powered by a petrol or diesel engine, or a 15kW electric motor.

Multihog shows its versatility

Multihog showed its

latest MH90 utility vehicle models, which Director Ruth McAdam sees as offering year-round hire opportunities for tasks such as grass and hedge cutting, road sweeping, gritting, snow ploughing and blowing. “Attachments can be mounted at the front, giving maximum visibility and enhanced safety, and implements can be engaged on the move with no loss of power,” she told EHN. “Attachments can also be changed in less than two minutes.” The MH90 has a 25mph top road speed, a 78dB sound level and static or tilting cab options are available. Load sensing pumps allow full flow regulation of hydraulics at the front and rear, and ground disturbance is minimised owing to the vehicle’s articulating steering and low ground pressure of 9psi.

At Saltex, Multihog announced the establishment of a dedicated UK sales team to further develop the market for the vehicle, which is already being exported to several other European countries.
