Tasty I hope you had a wonderful

T anksgiving and were able to spend it with those you hold dear. As it is one of my favorite times of the year, I look forward to ringing in the Christmas season with fun sweets and ‘tasty treats.’ When I was a kid, my sister

and I – with the assistance of our parents, of course – baked warm, gooey chocolate chip cookies each Christmas for Santa. Now, baking these same cookies is a tradition every time we visit our parents. With a new generation of kiddos beginning to celebrate Christmas (my fi rst nephew was born in August), we are excited to keep this tradition going, as well as form new ones our kids will remember when they get older. I am also sharing a quick, simple recipe

for Oreo® and Nutter Butter® truffl es. T ese are fun to decorate, as you can top them with sprinkles, drizzled chocolate, chopped nuts or anything else you can fi nd. If your kids or grandkids like to help you in the kitchen, this is a great way for their creativity to shine. If you have recipes you would

like to share, please email them to OECNews@okcoop.org. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas season and a happy New Year.
