CO-OP Connections Your free source for exclusive member savings on everyday purchases

How much can your Co-op Connections Card save you this cold and fl u season?

E

ach year, hundreds of thousands of Americans catch the fl u, and even more sniffl e their way

through colds. Before you stock up on medication to battle the seasonal illnesses, OEC and Touchstone Energy® Cooperatives off er you a discount at the pharmacy. “T e Co-op Connections®

Card saved members a collective $118,438 last year at the pharmacy,” said Tory Tedder-Loffl and, OEC communications specialist. “More and more members are realizing the savings available via the Co-op Connections Card, especially with the constantly changing healthcare laws and their eff ects on the price of medication.”

Using your Co-op Connections

Card – off ered exclusively to co-op members – you could see major savings at the 60,000 participating local drugstores and nationwide pharmacy chains, such as CVS, Walgreens, Wal-Mart and Target. Simply present your Card at a

participating pharmacy with your prescription and receive a discount at the time of purchase. T e Card, however, is not insurance and cannot be used in conjunction with insurance co-pays. Some members have found the discount to be greater by using their Co-op Connections Card rather than paying insurance co-pays. If a discount is off ered for your medication, the pharmacy tech

will be able to easily locate it using the numbers on the back of the Card. “Of the 4,153 claims made for

prescriptions using the Card so far in 2014, 3,525 have been paid at a cost lower than retail,” said Tedder- Loffl and. “T at means 85 percent of the time, members have kept money in their pockets while receiving the Co-op Connections discount at a pharmacy. We don’t want the rest of our members to miss out on these fantastic savings.” [3920111901] See below for a partial list of
