Synthetic Phonics - Phase Four Phase Four Resources
The resources in this section are all suitable for supporting teaching of Phase Four of Letters and Sounds. By Phase Four, children will be able to represent each of the 42 phonemes by a grapheme. They will be able to blend phonemes to read CVC words
and segment CVC words for spelling. They will know letter names, read simple two-syllable words and be able to read and spell some tricky words. Phase Four will introduce words containing adjacent consonants and polysyllabic words.

This bumper collection of resources has been specifi cally developed in line with Phase Four of Letters and Sounds. Providing resources to compliment some of the activities recommended in the phase, the set includes;
