Wagenborg adds Scheuerle SPMTs The Netherlands-headquartered Wagenborg Nedlift has added 16 axle lines of Scheuerle SPMTs to its fleet. The additional units, which are also equipped with extra load securing features, enable Wagenborg to transport loads up to an axle load limit of 48 tons (43.5 tonnes).

Broshuis builds up

production at Kampen Netherlands-based Broshuis is building a 6,000 sq m production hall at its Kampen facility, which will be used to undertake work currently done externally by suppliers.

A number of preparatory tasks will also be carried out in the new factory, which will open up new production space at Broshuis’ existing manufacturing location for the construction of more trailers.

logistics industry. One of our major customers, Silamas in Thailand, just ordered 150 THP/SL-L axle lines and since the beginning of the year we have been shipping them in several lots because of the sheer size of the order,” said Auerbacher.

Malaysia-based Xin Hwa Holdings also placed an order for more than 100 axle lines of THP/SL trailers in 2017, plus ten telescopic spacers. “The spacers are modular extension beams that can be easily added in order to transport extra-long loads or other special cargoes – an effective and economical solution for Xin Hwa, which is heavily involved in the metro network upgrade in Kuala Lumpur, transporting large numbers of long concrete beams weighing up to 160 tonnes each.” Goldhofer has also

developed the FTV 500 blade transporter and the FSH blade

tip lifting device, to cater to the increasing size of wind turbine blades.

Designed to hold a turbine blade at the hub connection, Goldhofer said the trailer enables the delivery of components inaccessible to standard semi-trailers.

Hydraulic scissor system The supporting FSH can handle all standard rotor blades with a length of up to 75 m. A hydraulic scissor system enables the tips of wind turbine blades to be lifted to a height of 10 m. With the FTV 500 and FSH,

rotor blades mounted on the device can be raised

hydraulically to an angle of up to 60 degrees, enabling navigation on winding roads through forested areas. On the commercial front,

USA-headquartered Trail King and Goldhofer have entered into a distribution agreement. Trail King will act as the sole distributor of Goldhofer’s

products in the USA, while Goldhofer will be distributing Trail King products to the rest of the world.

Goldhofer will extend its portfolio with the Trail King HT detachable gooseneck trailer, hydraulic sliding trailer (HST), sliding axle trailer (SA), plus the HDG and HED product lines. Meanwhile, Netherlands- based Nooteboom has enhanced its product range with the introduction of a load-sensing lift axle, PowerUp, for semi-trailers with axles that are equipped with hydraulic suspension. The PowerUp features a hydraulic controller, and in the retracted position contributes towards reduced tyre wear, lower fuel consumption and improved vehicle manoeuvrability. The lift axle prevents driving with an axle load that is too high, says Nooteboom, which means overload protection for both the trailer and the road

THE NEXT GENERATION IN SPECIAL TRANSPORTATION

The MANOOVR Multi-PL is the latest generation of semi low-loaders from Nooteboom. It employs a range of highly ad- vanced technologies that enable it to offer some unique features such as an ultra-low floor height of 780 mm and the high- est, legally permissible axle loading. Furthermore, the construction of the MANOOVR Multi-PL is simple and light, offering plenty of load capacity and low maintenance costs. This clever application of technology makes the MANOOVR Multi-PL an exceptional trailer for all Europe, and especially the Netherlands.
