AntwerpXL plans conference agenda T


he organiser behind the AntwerpXL exhibition, Easyfairs, has teamed up with Meantime Communications to finalise the


seminar and content programme for the three-day event. “Innovation, digitisation and lessons from the


disruptors will top the agenda at the AntwerpXL exhibition and conference at the Antwerp Expo, Belgium, from May 7-9, 2019,” said Easyfairs. The exhibition and conference, run in


association with the port of Antwerp, will include a


two-day programme of panel discussions, keynotes, and seminars tackling challenges and opportunities for the industry. Emma Murray, founder and ceo of Meantime Communications, said: “As well as our focus on


innovation, we will be looking to champion diversity in the industry, providing a platform for the next generation of leaders to network and learn from each other.” According to Easyfairs, the seminar and content programme will be published shortly.


JOC launches breakbulk conference


The Journal of Commerce (JOC) has established a new breakbulk and project cargo conference, which will be held for the first time in New Orleans, USA, from April 29-May 2, 2019. According to JOC, the event


will provide information and insights that cargo owners can


use to plan and execute shipments of breakbulk and project cargo through US and international ports. With the conference theme


–‘Can this rising tide be trusted?’ – the event will focus on various topics, including the energy outlook, transport


contracts, tariffs, compliance, upcoming sulphur regulations, the state of the heavy lift shipping fleet, consolidation and overland transport in North America. The conference will be


hosted by the port of New Orleans, USA.
