ETM: A new type of project forwarder?

The classic role of a project forwarder has

The addition of value to the supply chain is in high demand and large customers expect a project freight forwarder to be the authority in the field, covering a wide range of complementary tasks as part of their scope, and taking full responsibility for them.


Lighter cargo projects However, the concept is also applicable to lighter cargo projects where the complexity of a project covers all processes, including the planning, pre-emptive cost and operational control, negotiation of contracts, optimisation of timing, accurate information, commitment to schedules, and focus on HSE performance. This concept is simple in theory, and, in many cases, most players in the market use this as their mission statement. In reality, however, this is not as common as first thought – from the shipper’s perspective, at least. Through listening to our customers,
