HOW IT WORKS Travel’s top performers


Now in its second year, TTG’s Top 50 Travel Agencies is the only scheme which recognises agents at a branch level as well as at head office level –and which considers not only sales volume but customer service and innovation too


F


ollowing a hugely successful launch last year, our Top 50 initiative is bigger and better in year two –


with two additional regional categories and an even more rigorous judging process. High street stores could enter one


of 12 different regional categories this year and first registered their interest in taking part. Next, they were rated by a wide panel of 40


agent-facing suppliers, who work closely with high street agents and know their businesses. The top five rated stores in each


region earned a place on the shortlist, and were then visited by a TTGjournalist and regional sponsor for a face-to-face assessment. The three stores that gained the highest marks during the store visits will each take a place in our Top 50 Travel Agencies list for 2017.


WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE NIGHT


18:30: Guests will arrive at The Vox for a sparkling reception hosted by Birmingham Airport


19:30: Guests will move through to the main room for dinner and the Top 50 presentation. Look out for incredible giveaways from our headline sponsor Kuoni, as well as Club Med and Brand USA. There’ll also be some surprise entertainment along the way.


23:00: The official After Party, hosted by The Travel Network Group, gets under way with a live band and DJ.


1:30: A closing party takes place at the High Line bar until 3am.


04 TOP 50 TRAVEL AGENCIES 2017 SHORTLIST


In our six nationwide categories, which included a new Top Weddings & Honeymoons Agency category this year, agencies were first rated by suppliers in a similar way. The five best-rated were placed on a shortlist, and then faced a video-interview by a TTGjournalist and sponsor. The two agencies that gained the highest marks during the interview will each join the Top 50 list. Shortlists for our Top Of The Shops
