Diebold takes over rival Wincor Nixdorf in $1.8bn deal The combined company, Diebold Nixdorf, will hold 35% of the ATM market


Diebold, the US-based ATM manufacturer, has agreed a $1.8 billion deal to buy German rival Wincor Nixdorf. The deal will see the creation of a conglom-


erate ATM firm worth more than $5 billion in sales and a majority share of the market. Wincor investors will be receiving cash and stock val- ued at around €54.32 per share based on the firm’s closing price the week in the run up to the announcement.
