JESS EVANS Level 3 apprenticeship in digital marketing When I started looking at marketing and social media courses I had no experience; I didn’t want to risk the debt of university fees for a course I might not like and thought an apprenticeship would help me gain experience, so I jumped at the chance to apply to Thomas Cook. My apprenticeship has been so diverse. I’ve visited Google’s London office to understand how Thomas Cook collaborates with them. My rotations around the marketing channels have given me an understanding of pay per click, creative services, social media marketing, e-commerce and more. And during an educational to Cuba I created a video called ‘Why I love Cuba with Jess’. At the end of my course, I applied for a permanent role on the social media team and was so excited when I heard I’d been successful. I absolutely love it.
