Inpatient Environments

We believe that the Better Bedroom will continue to progress and develop, and to improve the service-user experience. We will continue to be involved in this. The dialogues started will not cease, and the innovation and development of new products will continue.

LOOKING AT ANOTHER INPATIENT AREA While we have improved the mental health environment for the better in one area, and will continue to push for more advances, we think that the time has now come to move on to another area, and to look at other inpatient environments where improvements are overdue, where a push on innovation could further enhance the therapeutic milieu and make a difference.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

As we move to this next stage, we are very keen to hear from those in the mental healthcare sphere as to which room or area within a mental health unit we should look at next? Should we concentrate on the ward and look at sitting/dining rooms, the visitors’ room, or therapy space, or should we perhaps move out of the ward into the wider unit, and look at entrance areas, the café, or waiting spaces? We’d really like to hear your ideas, so please complete the form on this page, or alternatively visit the following link to give us your thoughts electronically: www.surveymonkey.com/r/X95V8S2 Please help us to target the right area – we need responses by 16 February 2016.
