MARIN offers a wide selection of papers and doctoral theses in the field of hydrodynamics on its website at
www.marin.nl/papers.
The most recent publications include:
Past, present and future of hydrodynamic research for DP applications Cozijn, H. and Frickel F., MTS DP Conference, Houston, October 2015
Computational study on power reduction by a pre-duct for a bulk carrier
Schuiling, B., Windt, J., Rijpkema, D. R. and van Terwisga, T. J. C., Tokyo 2015, A Workshop on CFD in Ship Hydrody- namics, Tokyo, Japan, 2015
After successful software seminars in the Netherlands, Houston and Singapore, MARIN returns to Houston for the second time on October 4. This seminar brings together developers and users to discuss the latest developments, share experiences and define future requirements. If you have used MARIN’s software in the past or are considering it, join us to share your experiences and requirements.
The seminar will put a spotlight on inte- grating model tests, simulations, training and monitoring to obtain safe and economic ships and offshore structures.
Analyzing scaling effects on offshore wind turbines using CFD Make, M., Vaz, G., Renewable Energy, 2015
During the day, presentations will discuss complex numerical studies and several innovative projects to show the latest developments in maritime simulations.
The Software Seminar will cover: • Hydrodynamic ship design • Terminal design and operation • Offshore engineering • Simulation and training
Register now to guarantee your seat at this popular technical seminar. Visit
www.marin. nl/softwareSeminar for more information and registration. Participants are invited to visit MARIN’s bridge simulator in Houston, which can be used to study, develop and optimise complex marine operations.
