NIC AWARDED £50M


MORRISONS CONTRACT NIC Services Group is delighted to announce they have been awarded a circa £50m contract with Yorkshire based supermarket chain Morrisons.

TOP 2% POSITION TC Security Services, part of TC Facilities Management (TCFM), are celebrating an increase in their ACS score to 164 points, awarded to them in their annual audit. This means its position in the Top 2% of the SIA listed companies within the Approved Contractor Scheme is retained. In addition, auditors highlighted many areas of good practice during the 4-day audit along with no areas needing improvement.


Gaining and retaining SIA approved Contractor Scheme status gives both existing and potential customers the confidence that the service has been independently assessed against recognised standards and procedures and that all the security personnel have been correctly trained for the role they are performing.


The 4-day audit witnessed a full scrutiny of the TC Security Services operation with Auditors visiting both the Head Quarters and satellite offices along with a mix of varied customers who receive services from TC Security Services.


Good practices highlighted by the auditors included:

The contract will see NIC delivering cleaning services across the North of the England and Scotland. NIC is one of the pioneering contractors who have worked closely with Morrisons to see them outsourcing their services for the first time in over 100 years of trading.


Morrisons 117,000 staff serve customers across the UK at more than 500 stores every day.


• Adopting innovative technology to capture data that shows live ongoing statistics against company KPIs.


• Robust ‘Right to Work’ processes.


• Encouraging and providing access to the SIA training programme for officers.


Also mentioned by the Auditors was the high level of satisfaction with the services provided by TC Security Services highlighted by customer interviews while visiting sites during the audit.
