Hello and welcome to the February issue of Tomorrow’s FM. In this edition we will be addressing some key industry areas, including Cleaning, Vending and Water Coolers, Health and Safety and a new subject for 2016 – BIM and Facility Design.

BIM has taken its own section in our features list this year, as it becomes an increasingly integral part of the facilities sector. With the mandatory use of BIM Level 2 coming into place next month for all public-funded projects, it was a topic we simply could not ignore.

Elsewhere in the industry, we are looking ahead to Facilities Management 2016 in Birmingham. With the show taking place 22nd-24th March we have all the information you need to get ready, with exhibitors, seminar programmes and all the highlights you will need to make the most of the NEC’s fantastic facilities.

In Cleaning, we get floor cleaning tips from Truvox and advice on wiping out Healthcare Associated Infections with Chicopee’s Microfibre wipes. And in Health and Safety, we get tips to ensure your staff are kept warm at work from Office Genie, and help from Hosking Associates on what to do should the snowy weather return.

The British Water Cooler Association have teamed up with Skanska and are stamping out the widespread consumption of sugary drinks in the construction world, whilst Aimia are on a mission to make sure you are aware that milk isn’t mandatory in bean-to-cup coffee machines, in the Vending and Water Coolers section.

As ever, we have all the usual comments and columns from iSite and Liz Kentish, with Ten Questions and the HR Focus to keep you up-to-date. I look forward to seeing you all in Birmingham next month and in the mean time, enjoy the issue!
