It’s Time to Certify Your Expertise

Registrations open for first 2015 CIMS “Industry Certification Expert” training workshop I

SSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association, is now welcoming registrations for its first “Industry Certification Expert” (I.C.E.) training workshop of the year, being held 15 April at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Stansted, United Kingdom.

The I.C.E Workshops, run by ISSA’s partner, BICSc Business Services (BBS), are an integral part of ISSA’s acclaimed Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS). After completing a one-day workshop and passing a subsequent exam, candidates will qualify as I.C.E. certified professionals. They will be fully equipped to provide training and consulting services to help customer organisations, or their own, organisations comply with CIMS and achieve certification to the Standard.

CIMS is a framework of five management principles designed to assist cleaning organisations in developing quality, customer- centered services. It sets forth processes, procedures, and supporting documentation that are universally recognized as the hallmarks of a well- run and customer-focused cleaning. The Standard, which is available for download at europe.issa.com/ukcims operation.

“We were thrilled with the success of our 2014 I.C.E training workshops,” said Justin Calver, Chief Operating Officer of BBS. “We look forward to kicking off our 2015 workshops, which give professionals in the United Kingdom and Ireland a convenient opportunity to participate in this industry changing programme.”

The availability of CIMS has opened doors for local cleaning organisations, both in-house and contracted, to differentiate themselves as high-quality, highperforming, and professional operations via a credible, internationally recognized thirdparty certification. Facility managers and purchasers who

“Training to become an Industry Certification Expert positions individuals as an indispensable resource in the contract cleaning industry,” said Keith Baker, Director of EMEA Services at ISSA. “It arms candidates with the critical knowledge and skills they need to help organisations meet demands from the highest management levels and achieve CIMS certification.”

Workshop attendees will also receive free membership (until 30 November 2015) to both the ISSA, the leading trade association for the cleaning industry worldwide, and the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc), the largest independent, professional, and educational body within the cleaning industry. These memberships give candidates access to global and regional networking opportunities, industry news and data, business tools, support and much more.
