Nord Drivesystems has engineered an industrial gear unit with 240,000Nm rated torque load and various application-specifi c features for a phosphate mine in Morocco. Multi-million contract extensions

Mining services company Ausdrill has secured more than AU$200 million worth of contract extensions with two of its existing clients in the Goldfi elds region of Western Australia - Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines (KCGM) and Gold Fields. Ausdrill has received a AU$143 million contract renewal to provide drill and blast, and grade control services for an additional fi ve years at KCGM’s Super Pit gold mine. The company has also been

awarded an AU$60 million contract extension for three years to provide exploration drilling services at Gold Fields’ St Ives and Granny Smith gold operations.

NRW Holdings has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Action Drill & Blast, has been awarded a contract to provide drilling and blasting services to Macmahon Holdings Limited at Newcrest’s Telfer gold mine in Western Australia. This 66-month contract is Action Drill & Blast’s second gold project award to

Cobalt Blue Holdings is undertaking a major infi ll and extensional drilling programme designed to support a resource estimate upgrade. Its aim is to triple the current size of the Thackaringa, Australia cobalt deposit, capable of supporting a signifi cant, long life mining operation. The diamond drilling

programme is currently progressing strongly and has achieved 2,200m with a campaign target of 3,000m expected to be completed as IME goes to press. The reverse circulation (RC) drilling programme consists of 5,100m of drilling, will utilise two RC drill rigs, and enable the company to convert exploration targets into an inferred resource. 7
