Midleton, Cobh and Youghal Hosting Plethora of Events this Weekend for Lifelong Learning Festival

ing Festival has returned to East Cork this year with events in Cobh and Youghal commencing ear- lier this week, while Mid- leton hosts its proceedings for the Festival beginning this Friday, 7 April. All events happening


are part of the Festival in Midleton — which holds activities for the festival for only the second time — and Cobh are free, though some require pre-booking. The next event, which is Cobh Animation Team’s presentation a on Cobh’s maritime history in the


festival commences today, Thursday 6 April, from 3-4pm at Cobh Library with booking required. “Events in the Life-


long Learning Festival this year,” said Lena Cronin, Community Education Facilitator for Cork Ed- ucation and Training Board, “range from his- tory to photography to holistic healthcare to art in some shape or form. In Cobh this year there is quite a lot of focus on her- itage, like tracing ances- tors and exploring Cobh’s history. Midleton then is focusing a lot on crafts and art.”
