An exhibition of Ceredigion LEADER activities will be on display. Cllr Gareth Lloyd, Cabinet Member
with responsibility for Economic and Community Development Services, Ceredigion County Council, said: “This event will be an opportunity to show how community-based and locally-led activities can evolve into something that can benefit Ceredigion’s residents.” The project will be funded
through the Welsh Government Rural Communities – Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Welsh Government. Cllr Lloyd continued: “Looking
forward to the year ahead, we want to hear about your ideas and in particular for individuals and communities to develop what may seem like basic ideas into innovative and effective projects.”
One of the projects currently
supported under the LEADER 2014- 2020 scheme will be highlighted at the open event - ‘Academi Arweinyddiaeth’
(Leadership
Academy). Cered Manager Lynsey Thomas
said: “Cynnal y Cardi support has enabled us to offer an intensive leadership course for Welsh speaking young adults to foster leadership skills in the community, with the intention of motivating them into action locally to benefit the community and to develop their skills to be able to tackle the challenges facing communities of the future.”
