CONNECTIONS

CONNECTIONS SERIES 2017

THE CONNECTIONS LUXURY PROGRAMME CONTINUES TO GO FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH, WITH UPCOMING EVENTS IN IRELAND AND ICELAND

CONNECTIONS LUXURY IN IRELAND will be hosted at the five-star Powerscourt Hotel, part of Marriott International’s Autograph Collection, from May 21-24. The event will see 80 luxury travel buyers and suppliers gather at the 194-room property, which was recently crowned Ireland’s top hotel at this year’s World Travel Awards. Ian Wynne, the property’s general manager, said: “We are delighted to host such a highly regarded event at Powerscourt Hotel, Resort & Spa. Connections Luxury Ireland is an excellent opportunity for us to present our award-winning luxury offering to prestigious buyers from around the globe.”

CONNECTIONS WELLNESS launches next year with the first event to be held in Iceland from October 29-November 1. Dedicated to the wellness sector, the event will take place at the new property at the Blue Lagoon. The Moss Hotel will be Iceland’s first five-star hotel when it opens in September. Set adjacent to the Blue Lagoon natural hot spring, its spacious rooms are surrounded by the lagoon and guests will be able to dip their feet in its 38C water while taking in dramatic views of the volcanic rock. Connections is working with Stella Photi, founder of Wellbeing Escapes, and John Bevan, chief operating officer of Spafinder Wellness 365, to create the event.
