Flagstick readers are undoubtedly familiar with
National Development Team member Brittany
Henderson of Smiths Falls and her golfing exploits.
In recent years the seventeen year old has won
dozens of golf tournaments.
Now it is her little sister who is making a big im-
pression on the local golf circuit. Brooke
Henderson, just 10 years old, is of to a hot start this
golf season. The diminutive sweet swinger wrapped
up the title at the first Ottawa Valley Golf Association
junior field day with score of 83 and finished in the
runner-up position at the second one with a score
84. Brooke also was the winner of the OVGA Junior
Championship by an eleven stroke margin. She
also impressed the folks in Kingston at the opening
event on the 2008 KRock St. Lawrence Junior Tour.
At the Amherstview Golf Club on June 25 she held
off 16 year old Christina Thorne by a stroke, post-
ing an impressive score of 79 for the victory.
