GARY FREESE Gallery Owner Gary Freese is a longtime Breckenridge resident, having come west to ski in the 70s. He owns Breckenridge Gallery on Main Street where he represents artists from across the country.

LONETA SHOWELL Art Director, Mountain Living Since the magazine Mountain Living’s launch in 1994, she has guided the vision for the brand, which now encompasses a website, weekly e-newsletters and numerous social media platforms. In addition to producing the magazine’s covers and editorial pages, Loneta travels throughout the West directing and styling photo shoots. Loneta graduated from the University of Northwestern with a degree in graphic design and a fine art minor. In her free time she enjoys repurposing found objects into furniture and lighting, creating leather journals and purses, and offering sisterly design advice to her brother, who is a professional wood sculptor.

BECCA SPIRO Director of Learning and Innovation, BCA Becca Spiro grew up in Boston and received her BA from Bowdoin College with a major in Visual Art and Art History and a minor in Spanish. After college, Becca interned for the Art Institute of Chicago’s Museum Education Department, and following this experience, she obtained her MA in Contemporary Art with Sotheby’s University in London. Between degrees, Becca taught Art History and Spanish at private and independent high schools, and worked as a backpacking instructor for the National Outdoor Leadership School. Becca moved to Breckenridge in October 2014, and worked on the Breckenridge Ski Patrol for two seasons before joining BCA as the Director of Learning and Innovation.

TERRY TALTY Artist & Blogger Terry Talty has made sculpture in snow, wood, and metal in a practice centered on environmental and digital work. These are often temporary and always eco-friendly. Terry lives in Denver and writes a blog - - about contemporary visual art in Colorado and the region.

LISA M.W. ELDRED Director of Exhibitions, Art and Interpretation,

Denver Botanic Gardens Lisa Eldred has been working in the arts for the past 20 years and holds an M.A. in art history (University of Cincinnati, OH) and a B.S. in arts administration (Butler University, IN). In various museum roles she has curated exhibitions, managed docent programs, publications, and coordinated supporting public programs. Liza has been an associate/visiting faculty member at a variety of colleges and universities teaching art theory and criticism, the history of design and other art history courses. She has been with Denver Botanic Gardens since 2006, overseeing the exhibitions department, with an emphasis on outdoor sculpture installation. She works to highlight the interdisciplinary natures of both art and science while creating opportunities for the public to have interaction with the arts in a unique garden setting.
