THE MACK January at the / 864-852-3216 /

HAPPY NEW YEAR to our amazing community! We start 2017 by celebrating the achievements of our visual art students. These students have learned through direct instruction from our MACK resident artists. On Friday, January 6 we will have their artwork on display at the MACK Student Artist Reception from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. This evening will include a musical performance and lite fare graciously provided by our Board of Directors.

A variety of art classes return in the new year. Please contact the MACK office to explore the opportunities available for ongoing and new art classes and workshops available throughout this month and year. See below for a list of scheduled classes. Dr. Lenti’s “Developing the ‘Artopreneur’” is an honest discussion of the realities of the art business, for the independent artist. Included are how to prepare your portfolio, how to seek out opportunities for selling your art, how to write a press release, and how to use the web to your advantage. And no, you don’t need a degree in computer science to follow these topics. This discussion is based on the premise that artistic success includes showing your art work in order to convey pleasure to the viewer. It’s a tricky little slope we follow to do this. The price of this program is $25 to include lunch and lecture. Please register in advance for this program which will
